Froggi Donna's new journey

A courageous woman I know wrote in a post at Hawg's on June 13, 2007, "I refuse to sit around waiting for a perfect tomorrow, I'll continue to savor my perfectly imperfect todays."

The realization hit her at some point that she wanted to live according to those words. This week she begins a new journey. She is picking up her RV and hitting the road full-time! Traveling the country, towing her bike, and living life to it's fullest.

Join me in cheering her on by reading about her new adventures through her blog.

Donna,

Your desire to want to live fully in the moment, knowing the sadness and hurt you've experienced over the years, is humbling. Your ability to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and move forward in life after devastation is a testament to true faith and courage.

You inspire me.
I admire you.

I can't wait to read about all of the little parts of your journey. The times when the clock stands still and all you can see and feel is the newness of a sunrise or the calm of a breathtaking sunset.

When you sit around the parks and campgrounds meeting new people and sharing a laugh, a drink, a meal.

When you travel down the road and experience all over again the majesty of the mountains or the beauty of the vast open sky beckoning you to embrace the peace they wish to whisper to your soul.

Your world is huge. Your life beginning anew yet again. Your time has come... how awesome...

I am so very proud of you!

for Michael C.

Today is your special day.
I wish you joy, love, peace, and contentment...
I wish you happiness, laughter, health, and wholeness...
I wish you kindness, thoughtfulness, hope and friendship...

I wish you all good things...

A life fulfilled...
A soul that sings...
A voice that is heard...
And flight with wings...

Happy Birthday, Michael...

I will never forget...
You will always be an angel to me.

a mother again... :-)

After several months of preparation and planning, made the long drive up to MI to pick up my son and bring him home.

Stopped off to visit my sister and her family on the way back. She lives on forty wooded acres with no neighbors in sight. Sitting on the porch meditating peacefully in the early morning is glorious. Someday, a place similar in the middle of nowhere but trees will be where I will call home... someday.

Anyway, he's here, unpacked, settled in and comfortable. We eat dinner together every night at the table and talk. He's laughing and smiling. He's planning his future. He has hope....

What a joy he brings to my life! I am in my glory. My son is home. I remember and know this one thing -- I am blessed.

No regrets. I live with no regrets. I am a mother again.

***all smiles***

Happy Birthday, Chase!

My nephew Chase turns twelve today. His life is one of miracles. When he was born, he barely weighed over two pounds. His mother had been on crack and delivered prematurely.

His entire life, all he has known is darkness. He talks of Heaven and someday being able to see all the things we describe to him. I took him to see the new Harry Potter movie yesterday and did the SAP commenting for him so he'd know what was going on. He loved it.

Despite being blind, Chase is one bullheaded, strong, optimistic kid who doesn't limit himself to anything. Grandma sees to that. My mother bought him a bicycle for his birthday. Yes. A bicycle.

I asked him, "How will you know where to go?"

He replied, "Grandma's getting me training wheels."

*LOL*

He wasn't worried about where he was going, only how to stay upright. He wants to ride on the back of Hope desperately. I tell him I'm not a good enough rider to have a passenger. Guess I need to practice more... he's one determined youngster.

Happy birthday, Chasers! You can do anything you put your mind to... I love you...
