In 1972, when I was only ten years old, the girl scout badge I wanted had to do with pen pals. There was this little girl in the U.K. doing the same for girl guides. Who would know that 36 years later Sue and I would still be friends. We've met only once when I lived in Michigan but we are sisters through and through. She named her only daughter after me. I am honored to be a part of her life.
Last Saturday was her birthday. We connected again tonight by phone. Just sharing a few of her family pics vacation this past month to Disney California and Yellowstone.
Plans are in motion to meet again, possibly in
Seattle on my trip to the Redwoods.
I can't wait!
