Visited home today for the first time since leaving at 6:16 a.m. on Friday, September 12th. Hope was under water and appears totalled. My children's books are destroyed. My pictures are yet to be uncovered. I couldn't look in that closet yet. Not today...
Other than dishes and silverware and some of Joel's things, all else is lost. Here are a few pics. Heading back to Galveston tomorrow to pick up Hope and bring her home. There is extensive clean up to do.
Thank you again for all the prayers, calls and continuous support. I have it nowhere near as bad as many others on the island. I have all of my family... I have you.

Wow, that looks amazingly like my house in 1994 when we flooded up near Kingwood. Not pleasant memories. Just know you'll come out the other side of this stronger than you went in.
