Today was gorgeous and the perfect day to get my garden started. Yesterday, on my way home from Austin, I had bought a few petunias and marigolds along with packets of seeds of other pretty things, potting soil, gloves, and a few gardening tools. After weeding and digging and making ready the exact area in the backyard, the flowers and seeds were lovingly placed in the small corner spot.
Oh, I know... it doesn't look like much. But it brightens my yard and makes my heart sing to look at the colorful flowers, such pretty things! We are home... right where we belong. Life is good. Wish every day could be as lovely as today!!!
Next up: The herbs & vegetables... I'll keep you posted! :)
The kiss of the sun for pardon,
The song of the birds for mirth,
One is nearer God's heart in a garden
Than anywhere else on earth.
